Dipped Banana Bites

I'm a sucker for banana and peanut butter! My absolute favorite smoothie at Keva Juice is the "Peanut Butter Chocolate" and at Jamba Juice, the "PB Moo'd!" Those two smoothies have in them...you guessed it...banana and peanut butter!

So you know I had to give these a try when I spotted them on the top shelf at Safeway! Dipped Banana Bites! Although they had the tempting banana dipped in chocolate, my first had to be the banana dipped in peanut butter!

After leaving the self check-out and walking at a faster pace than usual to my car, I ripped into these and popped one in my mouth! Chewing...enjoying the flavor...

My final conclusion: Although I enjoyed the taste, I have to say nay for me. The texture was a mix of chewy and gummy (if that makes sense to you) and not good for those who need some tooth work done...like me, lol! The inside of the candy was black and seemed to have a hint of licorice flavor to me (which I don't like). All in all, I wouldn't say they were awful but I definitely wouldn't purchase them again. The sugar content was also high, and after using monkfruit sweetener instead of sugar for a while now, I can honestly and happily say that my sweet tooth craving has taken a dive for the better!
