Misinterpreted Opportunities

Most of us have probably heard of the term “missed opportunities,” but God showed me another perspective…”Misinterpreted opportunities.”
He showed me this after my “cheeseburger holder” post on social media, lol! He’s not only the Author of Wisdom but also of cleverness and humor! Lol!
I think we all know what a missed opportunity is. It’s where you completely missed an opportunity for whatever reason.
But what’s a misinterpreted opportunity? Point blank, that’s where you still received an opportunity, but you did the wrong thing with it for whatever reason.
Have y’all ever found yourself in a situation where after the fact, you knew you could have handled it better? Maybe you ignored some red flags?
Have you ever received something but used it for a purpose it wasn’t intended for and after the fact, it broke, spoiled or was taken away?
For example, although the cheeseburger fit well in the hand grip part of the arm rest in our car, if I left it there, it would have spoiled.
so y’all probably know what I’m getting at now…stewardship.
““If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?”
Luke 16:10-12 NLT
So beloved, we need to be good stewards of every opportunity God gives us. If you feel stuck in a certain area of your life, I challenge you to look for misinterpreted opportunities.
I’m going to give you some real raw examples that may seem harsh but these are real issues and I want y’all to know that God can deliver you if you turn to Him.
Did God bless you by getting a raise at work but then you didn’t tithe on it and new bills started popping up?
Did God put someone in your life and you misinterpreted their purpose in your life and you ended up in a wrong relationship?
Did God say go or stay and you stayed or went and you ended up in a wrong place?
These are just a few examples, but know that nothing is too hard for God. Go to Him now and please know this blog post was done in love.
