Hey ya’ll! Now that last week has passed, I can sit down & write! We had a few surprises last week where we had to heavily lean on Romans 8:28! Whatever happens, we know God is working for our good!
You see, life has a funny way of swinging punches at us, no matter how much we plan or how well we think we’ve got everything under control. And let me tell you, we got a few punches swung at us last week!
The truth is, the unexpected is always lurking around the corner, ready to put us in the ring! But here's the thing: depending on how we handle them, those surprises, big or small, make us stronger & wiser, they make life challenging & interesting, they make us grow & they often lead us to places we never imagined!
I know when the unexpected arrives, it can be unsettling. Our plans go out the window, & we’re forced to adapt “on the fly.” It’s in these moments, though, that we often discover our strengths & what we’re capable of!
Maybe it's a sudden relationship change, job change, an unexpected move, or even a global event that turns everything upside down! These situations push us to rethink, reimagine, & reinvent! And usually at light speed!
So, how do we get better at handling the unexpected?
Simply put, by navigating life with grace! But how does that look?
First, we need to trust that God has our good in mind no matter what punches come our way.
Second, we need to understand that no one is perfect & we all make mistakes. Forgiveness is key.
Third, we need to stay flexible. Plans are great, but life doesn’t always stick to the script! Being open to change & willing to adjust, cushions the blow! This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t plan; it just means we should be ready to dodge, pivot & counter when life takes an unexpected swing at us! Ya’ll got me?
Resilience is another big part of the equation. Building up our mental & emotional resilience by praying & reading the Word of God regularly, helps us bounce back from “setbacks” & face challenges head-on!
It’s also important to remember that with God, unexpected surprises may seem bad, but He turns them to our good. With God, the unexpected can bring wonderful opportunities & experiences “we never saw coming!” Pun intended!
By staying open to these three things: trust God, forgive, & stay flexible, we allow ourselves to fully enjoy life’s journey, even with all its twists & turns!
Ya’ll, let’s navigate life with grace!
