Procrastination vs. Priority

ree

Hey y’all! So I’m rising up from a week long cold! I’ve definitely felt better in days past but I’m so grateful to be well enough to be moving around!

Now since I’m still a bit stuffy & coughy, (is that even a word lol?!), I was severely tempted to stay home from church today! Now don’t get me wrong, there are times when we do need to stay home so that we don’t share the sick with our loved ones! But for me, today was not that day! Glory to God!

So I girded me up with the strength God gave me (it’s really His strength I was leaning on), packed my Bible, water & snacks, got dressed & off we went!

(I did take a separate vehicle so my wife & our dear sister who rides with us could stay longer for Bible study).

Now what am I getting at? Back to the blog title…procrastination vs. priority.

Procrastination:

A) to put off intentionally and habitually

B) to put off intentionally the doing of something that should be done

Priority:

A) superiority in rank, position, or privilege

B) something given or meriting attention before competing alternatives

The Bible says in Hebrews 10:24-25:

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

So the point is, if Jesus is a priority in our life, we will respond in such a manner that it shows. If I can go to work when I’m not fully well, indeed I can go to church, amen? If I can go to the grocery store when I’m not fully well, indeed I can go to church, amen? And so on & so forth…

Making Jesus a priority in our life entails putting into practice the Word of God…intentionally & habitually! Which means, we will do our best to not neglect meeting together, amen?

Now while none of us are perfect & even at “our best” we still fall, I’m more than grateful for the grace of God!

In closing & back to the Scripture, I don’t want to miss out on seeing my church family & y’all stirring me up to love & good works & vice versa!

Pastor said a funny thing today at church that I have to share…

Excuses are like armpits…everyone has at least two & they both stink! LOL!!!

See you at church next Sunday!
